We are proud to announce that we were selected to be amongst the first to participate and pass, in the SEI Building Energy Rating, training. There was a very high demand for places and a requirement to prove an expertise in the area of energy rating / surveying. We feel that this reflects our reputation and professional approach to energy rating. We will keep you posted on the progress of the implementation of this new energy rating scheme.


Gas and Electric take a hike - 01 July 2006

It is no surprise but it is alarming. From October your Gas bill will be increased by 34 % and as a New Year bonus you can look forward to a 19% increase in Electricity. As we have seen from history energy prices only trend in one direction so don't hold your breath expecting news of price reduction.

The Government intends doubling the amount of renewable energy used in the production of electricity to over 13% within the next four years. The Minister for Communications, Marine & Natural Resources, Noel Dempsey, said the plan was an essential part of delivering on our Kyoto obligations.

Oireachtas committee to hold talks on rising energy costs -  04 Mar 2006

The Oireachtas committee on natural resources is to discuss Ireland's rising energy costs at a meeting next week. Gas and electricity prices have both increased substantially in the past 18 months due to the rising international cost of oil.

Ireland's Emissions of Greenhouse Gases on the Increase - 17 Feb 2006

Ireland's annual emissions of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) in 2004 were up by 0.45 per cent on the 2003 emissions according to figures released today by the Environmental Protection Agency.  This is a reversal of the downward trend in emissions over the previous two years.
